Pompano Beach, Florida, 1-23-21

Pompano Beach High School will host their fifth International Summit February 1-5, 2021. Over 170 guest administrators, teachers, and students from Brazil, China, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Mexico, Nepal, Poland, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, and Zimbabwe will participate in the Summit. The Summit will be presented virtually this year due to the COVID pandemic and will be using Microsoft’s TEAMS and YouTube formats.

This event will develop cultural awareness in the field of education, with special focus on language and technology, increase knowledge about the United States and visiting schools, and establish lasting ties between all the participants. Opportunities will include teaching and learning in cooperation with Pompano Beach High School educators, collaborating with a local university, and sharing cultural practices within the community. Educators and foreign dignitaries will discuss issues in education from specific cultural perspectives.

Delivering the Summit’s Keynote Address will be Ryan Trevisol, an experienced software developer with a focus on Quality Assurance Test Automation and Web Application Design. He works at Modernizing Medicine, an award-winning, fast-growing company that was named one of Inc. Magazine’s Best Places to Work in 2020. In his role as Software Quality Assurance Architect, Ryan leads a team of dedicated engineers who are passionate about writing software which tests other software. He collaborates with coworkers in six countries across three continents: Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, India, Romania, and the United States.
